About
A small studio that ships
Kanu Studio builds from Seoul and the United States, for the restaurants, clinics, academies, gyms, and shops that keep both places running.
Most small-business software stories follow the same plot: enthusiasm, an invoice, then silence. We started Kanu Studio to be the other kind of vendor. The price is fixed before we build. Progress stays visible while we build. Messages get answered within two business days. And the work stays supported after launch, because a website nobody maintains is just a slower way to vanish.
The proof is public. ganbate.io runs sixteen provably-fair casino games and realtime multiplayer poker on one engine, live right now. The site you're reading is another sample: twenty prerendered pages in Korean and English with zero JavaScript shipped, which is a technical way of saying nothing slows it down. Your project starts on the Kanu Platform, our reusable foundation for accounts, sign-in, billing, notifications, files, and admin, guarded by more than 1,100 automated tests. That head start is a large part of why our quotes hold.
Who you will work with
Abe Ahn
Founder · Engineer
- Kanu Studio · Founder
- Unisound (a16z-backed) · Full-stack Engineer
- University of Pennsylvania · MAS Computer Science
- Yonsei University · MS Computer Science
- University of Southern California · BS Music Industry
Abe builds every Kanu project himself, end to end. Before Kanu he shipped catalog-reconciliation systems at Unisound, an a16z-backed music-tech startup, and did graduate research in multimodal AI at Yonsei. Past life: the music industry — which is why the details get sweated.
Three rules
- You talk to the person who builds it. There is no account manager between you and the work.
- Scope, price, and launch date are fixed in writing before work starts. The quote holds.
- Both languages are first-class. Korean is written as Korean, never translated after the fact.
